Though many things have changed in the time since our founding, our dedication to upholding a legacy—ours and yours—has not.

A funeral home rooted in history

Chapel at Blake-Lamb Funeral HomeOver the years, Blake-Lamb Funeral Home has endeavored to provide the highest quality funeral and cremation services available anywhere. Though we are steeped in history, our facilities and products are modern in every way.

From helping you choose a funeral casket or cremation urn, to arranging the perfect food and flowers, to assisting with world-wide transportation before a service and grief support afterward, we go above and beyond what you might expect. From family cars to prayer cards, you can leave the details to us.

We celebrate life

From the moment you walk through the doors of our Lincoln Avenue funeral home, you will be welcome and comfortable. Our well-appointed spaces are open, airy and suggest a feeling of home—a home for you, your family and friends to come together and memorialize a life.

Celebrating precious lives is what we at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home are all about. From an intimate cremation memorial with a champagne toast to a graveside service with hundreds of guests and a dove release, from a baseball-themed barbecue to a princess-themed processional, the list of what we will help you do is endless. And we won't stop until you are satisfied.

History

Blake-Lamb Funeral Home has a long history of service in the Chicagoland area. The funeral home first opened on Chicago's Canal Street in 1880. At the time, the Blake family lived on the top floor of the building, the funeral home occupied the middle floor, and the stable for the horses who pulled the funeral hearse was located on the ground level.

From this humble but solid beginning, Blake-Lamb grew to be one of the more recognized names in funeral services throughout Illinois. In fact, our services have been so valued by the community that, on Mar. 5, 1980, the 81st General Assembly of the Illinois House of Representatives issued a resolution commending our funeral home for 100 years of dedicated care.

The funeral home moved west to Lisle in 1982. Under the guidance of Matt and Richard Lamb, Blake-Lamb Funeral Home joined the Dignity Memorial® network of funeral, burial, cremation and cemetery service providers.
